Started by a coach in 2019

I coached high school wrestling for nine years and lifted in my garage the whole time. In 2019 I took over an old carpet store on Culver Road, laid the rubber floor myself and opened with six racks.

We’re up to eight racks, four platforms and five coaches. Most of our members had never touched a barbell before they walked in. Our oldest is 74, and he deadlifts 245 pounds.

In every class

  • The day’s plan on the board
  • Every lift scaled to you
  • Done in an hour, start to finish

Coaches

  • Andre Simmons

    Owner and head coach

NSCA-certified strength and conditioning specialist. Takes the 5:30 a.m. class most days.

  • Bree Harmon

    Coach, Over 50 strength

Spent eight years as a physical therapist assistant before she coached. Runs the beginner series too.

  • Elijah Brooks

    Coach and personal trainer

Competes in powerlifting and coaches the evening classes. Most of our meet lifters train with him.

  • Tasha Greene

    Coach, teen strength

Threw shot put in college. Runs the after-school sessions and the Saturday intro hour.

What members say

I’m 58 and had never touched a barbell. Bree started me on an empty bar in March, and I pulled 225 in September.

Kevin O.Over 50 strength

Elijah rewrote my program after I tweaked my back and had me deadlifting again in six weeks, pain free.

Owen P.Personal training

We did the free week expecting a sales pitch at the end. There wasn’t one, and we joined anyway.

Matt and Jess L.Unlimited classes

Good coaching and a friendly group. The evening classes fill up, so book early in the app.

Rachel T.Evening classes

The 5:30 a.m. class is the only reason I work out at all. Twelve people, the same faces every day, and Andre notices if you skip.

What does membership cost?

$65 a month for open gym, $119 for two classes a week and $159 for unlimited classes. Personal training is $70 a session.
